This role will be responsible for building and maintaining ongoing client relationships, while working with the Client Services team to develop and execute campaigns.
- Manage a sales territory to service political media campaigns on behalf of national/regional agencies across online publishers
- Identify agencies' online advertising needs and work with Client Services team to propose efficient solutions
- Present the value of online audiences to political clients
- Exceed established revenue goals, including specific accounts as assigned by management
- Establish strong relationships with political agency personnel, including all decision-makers and key influencers from junior media planners to top management
- Work with Account Manager(s) to present supporting research for media strategies and publisher recommendations.
- Respond to campaign reporting results and recommend optimizations in conjunction with Account Managers.
- Advise Account Managers on client requests regarding research data, publisher rates, and inventory
- Interact with publishing partners to secure ad inventories and specialized ad products
- Interface with Client Services team on all campaigns
- Become a positive and influential presence in your region
- Proven ability to multi-task and drive revenue from multiple accounts
- Strong knowledge of political agency client base
- Excellent presentation skills
- Strong organizational, business writing and negotiation skills
- Desire to build lasting client and vendor relationships
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Outlook)
- Familiarity with ComScore, Nielsen/NetRatings, @Plan, Media Audit a plus
- Use of sales / CRM software (e.g. Salesforce.com, etc.) a plus
- 3+ years (most recent) in media sales managing multiple accounts
- Experience selling digital media
- Stable employment history
- Experience taking ownership of a project and seeing it through to completion
